Three new mango varieties introduced in Australia

Manbulloo Limited, an Australian mango producer, is advancing the commercial distribution of three mango varieties, Yess! AhHa! and Now!, following their development over 25 years by the National Mango Breeding Program.

The company has planted approximately 4,000 trees of these varieties at its Ballongilly farm near Katherine. Additionally, in Queensland, 20,000 trees have been planted across 26 growers as part of Manbulloo's commercial strategy. Marie Piccone, the managing director of Manbulloo, highlighted the majority of new plantings are in Queensland, with plans for expansion in New South Wales, West Australia, and Northern Territory. The company aims to regulate production volume to meet profitable customer demand and is initially focusing on the domestic market, with potential future exports based on market profitability and domestic demand. Piccone emphasized the global market potential due to the varieties' flavor profiles.
