Naranjasyfrutas.com conducts a survey for the second edition of the Farmers' Best-Valued-Business Awards

Citrus producers will choose the best business of the 2023/24 campaign

Naranjasyfrutas.com is surveying citrus producers to determine what business they valued the best in the 2023/2024 harvest to reward it with an award. The award will be presented on June 19 at an event coordinated by Valencia Fruits and held at the headquarters of Caixa Popular. The event will be attended by AVA-Asaja, La Unió, ASOCIEX, IGP Cítricos Valencianos, Consulate of the Lonja de Valencia, and the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, among other organizations from the sector.

"Citrus producers and businesses will be the stars of the event. The survey's result will be made public at the ceremony, just like in the first edition of the awards held last year, and the business best valued by farmers will be celebrated with an award. This award highlights and gives visibility to good practices in crop purchases so that more and more businesses implement them until they become the norm. Naranjasyfrutas.com's initiative wants to highlight the importance of good practices in a fundamental process of the agri-food chain: marketing. Last year Germans Fuster SL was awarded the Best Trade Award of the 22-23 campaign."

"This time the survey is also aimed at citrus farmers. Citrus is, currently, Spain's most important crop. The survey was carried out with the help of the directors of the main farmer associations in Valencia, AVA-Asaja and La Unió Llauradora i Ramadera, who collaborated in the dissemination of this survey among their citrus producer partners to obtain an even larger and more significant sample."

The survey sent to thousands of citrus producers evaluates four aspects:

The harvest start and end dates.
The calibers collected and how the fruit was collected.
The agreed price.
The harvest payment dates.

The Award ceremony
Caixa Popular, a partner of the Naranjasyfrutas.com platform, will host the award ceremony on June 19 at its headquarters in the Technological Park.

Naranjasyfrutas.com is a platform where producers advertise their crops for free and where shops can quickly and easily locate the products they need. Since its creation in 2012, the platform has been in permanent contact with farmers and businesses, taking their suggestions and needs into account to improve and make its services more useful.
