"80% of Spanish citrus fruits consumed in China are produced by Bollo Natural Fruit"

Bollo Fruits, a brand of the Bollo Natural Fruit group, has strengthened its commitment to exporting to Asia with the launch of its new citrus campaign in China, where it provides an uninterrupted, year-round supply of these fruits. Thanks to this strategy, Bollo has positioned itself as one of the leading exporters to the Asian country and is the producer of 80% of the Spanish citrus consumed there. The company's products coexist with local ones during the season and are offered also in periods when local production isn't possible due to the weather conditions.

After just over six years in Asia, Bollo has managed to bring its products to South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India and China. This expansion is happening in the framework of the group's globalization strategy, with the brand adapting to the demands of each region and culture, and products and services being tailored to them. Thus, there are specific products for certain festivities, adapted color codes and packaging formats designed to meet the demands of local markets. Besides citrus fruits, Bollo, as a leading worldwide producer and brand, has also become the first company to import Piel de Sapo melons to China. The company also offers other products in this market, such as cherries, pears or blueberries.

Thanks to this expansion plan, Bollo is currently exporting to a total of 56 countries and is present in all continents. This has been possible, in part, thanks to the implementation of cold treatment in maritime exports, which the company has pioneered, thereby ensuring a higher product quality.

In the framework of Bollo's global overseas strategy, its Brazilian subsidiary has worked intensely alongside the Government of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, the Secretary of Agriculture, executives from LATAM Airlines and Fermac Cargo to promote a regular air traffic line for fruits and other products of interest for the sector connecting the Aluízio Alves International Airport in São Gonçalo do Amarante with the world's main markets. Bollo Brasil is also the first fruit-producing company to maintain a stable commercial relationship with China.

Premium quality around the world
In 2024, the quality of Bollo's melons has been recognized by Spanish consumers with the eighth consecutive 'Flavor of the Year' award for its Piel de Sapo melon, and the second one for the Sweetheart variety, which also received it in 2021. Both varieties have been awarded the same accolade by French consumers, with the 'Saveur de L'année 2024'.

Both these melon varieties and the rest of the fruits that Bollo exports worldwide offer a guarantee of premium quality and freshness that cannot be achieved just anywhere. Therefore, the company relies on exports as a key commercial strategy, positioning itself as a leader in the production of quality fruit in the countries where it is present.
