Last week, experts from the Primorsky branch of the service Rosselkhoznadzor conducted inspections on the import of 8,200 tons of fresh vegetables, fruits, and berries from various countries worldwide.
China, being a major contributor, exported 6,800 tons of vegetables and fruits, of which 4,304 tons were fresh fruits and berries, including 2,818.1 tons of mandarins. The volume of imported fruits and berries increased by more than 1,000 tons during this period.
In addition to the Chinese shipments, the import of 789.6 tons of bananas from Ecuador, 514.2 tons of mandarins from the Republic of Korea (a 1.8-fold increase compared to the previous week), 80.2 tons of lemons from Myanmar, and 13.6 tons of grapes from India. From Kazakhstan, 67 tons of onions were imported.
All products subject to quarantine restrictions were permitted for import after passing phytosanitary control.
