Mongolia has achieved a record-high vegetable production of 183,000 tons this year, covering 85 percent of domestic needs, according to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry.
Additionally, the country has harvested a total of 434,000 tons of wheat, marking an 8 percent increase from the previous year. In response to these positive developments, Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh has proposed launching a "food supply and security" national campaign.
The initiative aims to develop agricultural industry clusters and establish food production complexes with the goal of fully securing the domestic food supply and transforming Mongolia into a food exporter.
