Blueberries from Jalisco exported to US, Canada and Japan

Jalisco is the main Mexican blueberry producer of and many of the fruits harvested there will be exported to the US, Canada and Japan. Its sales abroad reached a value of 490 million dollars and an average annual growth rate of 15.5%, with the United States being the main destination for Mexican exports of the fruit, with a share of 94.9%.

In second place for receipt of Mexican blueberries is Japan with 2.2% and followed by Canada with 0.6%, nations that mainly receive blueberries. Between 2018 and 2022, Mexico produced 54.600 tons of blueberries on average, with an average annual growth rate of 13.5% and Jalisco was positioned as the first entity with a contribution of 49.7%.
