Some 450 kgs of marijuana, hidden under a load of cabbage, was seized from a vehicle at Saripalli near Pendurthi on the outskirts of the port city on Thursday. The two persons found in the vehicle were taken into custody by the police.
According to Deputy commissioner of police Zone II of the city, K. Anand Reddy, the contraband was seized during a vehicle check held as part of a ganja drive on the instructions of commissioner CM Trivikram Varma at the Saripalli area.
