Production of fruits and berries in Azerbaijan increased by 4.6% over 11 months

The volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in January-November 2022 amounted to 10 billion 383.8 million AZN ($6.108 billion at the current exchange rate), which is 3.4% higher than in 11 months of 2021, the State Committee for statistics reported to “Interfax-Azerbaijan”.

The nominal volume of crop production is 5 billion 431.3 million AZN. The growth of crop production is 3.4%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the country is currently completing the harvest of agricultural products.

Agricultural entities in January-November harvested 2 884 100 tonnes of grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn) (a decrease of 6.2%), 1 052 300 tonnes of potatoes (an increase of 1.3%), 1 810 200 tonnes of vegetables (an increase of 1.2%), 468 700 tonnes of melons and gourds (an increase of 1.9%), 1 248 400 tonnes of fruits and berries (an increase of 4.6%), 211 700 tonnes of grapes (an increase of 3.3%), 1 001 tonnes of green tea leaves (a decrease of 14.8%), 203 700 tonnes of table beets (an increase of 8.7%), 299 100 tonnes of cotton (an increase of 10.1%), 28 900 tonnes of sunflower (an increase of 12.2%) and 4 300 tonnes of tobacco (a decrease of 32.3 %).

Agricultural production in Azerbaijan in 2021 increased by 3.4%.
