'Punjab government plans for new fruit and vegetable market in RUDA'

Provincial Minister for Agriculture Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi has stated that the Punjab government will use all resources necessary for the establishment of a new market in the area of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA). This market will be developed through a modern system that will directly benefit the farmers, resulting in fair compensation.

He added that the market will operate according to international standards and the stakeholders will be on board. The latest monitoring auction system, with a schedule of market fees, commission and daily rates, will be displayed in better way at obvious places. There will be wide roads, entrance and exit gates, a green belt, a RESCUE 1122 service, a dispensary and several mosques in the mandi, the Minister added.
