Northwestern province of Son La, Vietnam

Early plum blossoms on Moc Chau plateau attract many visitors

In the northwestern province of Son La, white plum blossoms on the hillsides of Moc Chau plateau are always an attractive sight for visitors when spring arrives. This year, however, as winter approaches, many areas in Nong Truong town and Tan Lap commune have seen early plum blossoms, creating an unforgettable scene.

Moc Chau district has over 3,000 ha of plum blossom trees, making it the largest growing area in the country. It also has many large plum blossom valleys of up to hundreds of hectares. There are two plum blossom seasons. The main crop blooms near the traditional Lunar New Year and is harvested in May. Off-season flowers bloom sporadically and irregularly in winter.
