The USDA released numbers on the pumpkin production value of California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Texas and Virginia for 2019-2021. For all of these states, except Virginia, production values rose in that period. The latter saw a drop to around $15 mln in 2021.

Farm prices in the same period dropped somewhat in California, Illinois and Texas and saw a slight increase in the states of Indiana, Michigan and Virginia.

Fresh pumpkin availability per capita between 2000 and 2021 witnessed a slight rise from approx. 4.6 pds per person to 6.2 pds per person.
