VerdeDivo, the newest green kiwi will be presented at the Madrid fair by Alegra

"At Fruit Attraction we will turn the spotlight on VerdeDivo, the newest green kiwi developed thanks to an important research program in varietal research that has resulted in an innovative fruit with a high °brix (sugar content)," said Rita Biserni, Alegra's international marketing executive.

"Thanks to its ability to combine the perfect acidity and °brix, VerdeDivo will bring new vitality to the green kiwi market. For the Alegra Group, foreign markets represent about 50 percent of total business volumes. Trade fair events, such as the one in Madrid, will be essential for the promotion of our members' products."

The Alegra Group, an important fruit and vegetable company in Italy and Europe, will be present at Fruit Attraction in Hall 8 stand E03 (Oct. 4-6, 2022). The group's three companies (Alegra, Brio and Valfrutta Fresco) will be present as part of the exhibiting area set up by CSO Italy.

Fruit Attraction will be the ideal stage to present the productions for fall and winter. "The Madrid event will be held shortly after the start of the kiwi campaign and will therefore offer an excellent opportunity to exchange views with customers and possible new partners on a fruit that sees us holding a prominent role in the Northern Hemisphere. In Madrid, we will delve into production estimates for both green-fleshed and yellow-fleshed varieties. Then, there will also be a focus on the next kaki campaign with the soft-fleshed Loti di Romagna and the firm-fleshed Rojo Brillante, available until January, for all market segments: conventional product, organic and premium lines," continued Biserni.

There will also be no shortage of opportunities to compare pome fruit and late varieties of plums, which are the protagonists of our autumnal sales both in Europe and overseas. "Finally, there will also be room for Ondine, the flat nectarine protagonist of an ambitious Club project, whose first commercialization tests on the national and international markets carried out in the summer months showed very positive feedback from all consumer segments. Next year, with the plants in full production, we will be ready to preside over Italian and foreign mass retail brands with a winning product with unique characteristics."

“We are proud to represent the best of the Italian fruit and vegetable industry on foreign markets together with partner companies such as Jingold, Opera and Naturitalia. It will be an excellent opportunity to showcase what Italy can offer in terms of quality, taste and sustainability.”
