Shwapno is the largest retail chain in Bangladesh; the company has successfully delivered its second shipment of fruits and vegetables to Hong Kong. Saiful Alam, Shwapno’s export initiative advisor and team leader, said, “The second export batch which reached Hong Kong on Sunday included GLOBAL G.A.P. Certified Bottle Gourds.”

“We have also included mangoes in our export category this time. We exported 100kgs of Gonbindhobhog variety of mangoes to Hong Kong from a few selected orchards in Satkhira. We were able to accomplish this with the assistance of Solidaridad Network Asia,” he added.

Shwapno started its export journey with vegetables and fruits on March 31. The first consignment consisted of pointed gourds, ladyfingers, green mangoes, potatoes, bitter gourds and 26 other items of vegetables and fruits, which were also exported to Hong Kong.
