Fruit bouquets are becoming popular for Valentine's day

Valentine's Day is the peak season for flower sales every year, and this year is no exception. Unlike previous years, the flowers are more expensive this year. Taking the bouquet of 99 roses as an example, the wholesale price around Valentine's Day was about 450 yuan in previous years, and the retail price was about 750 yuan. This year it is more than 1,000 yuan.

Some merchants said that due to the high price, the sales of flowers during Valentine's Day may be reduced this year, but the sales value should be higher than that in previous years.

The reasons for the higher price of flowers are diverse but there are two main reasons. First, people's consumption level has increased significantly in recent years, and the purchase of flowers has become more and more frequent, which has stimulated the market demand to a certain extent. Second, in Yunnan, the main flower-producing region in China, flower production has been greatly reduced due to the sharp drop in temperature before the Spring Festival, and it is estimated that the output will reduce by about one-third.

But it's not just flowers, fruit bouquets have also become more popular in the market year by year over the past few years, and this innovative product is especially sought after by younger people. The so-called fruit bouquet uses professional methods to pack the fruits into a flower shape. It looks like flowers but is actually fruits when opened.

On Valentine's Day, the most commonly used fruits for making bouquets are strawberries and cherries, mainly because of their festive red color and their size which is suitable for making a bouquet.

In addition, in the face of the sharp rise in the price of flowers this year, the fruit bouquet is relatively affordable. Therefore, some merchants have also flexibly adjusted their market strategies.

For consumers who are more hesitant to buy flowers, some merchants will recommend buying personally customized fruit bouquets. These distinctive bouquets can also replace roses as the fruits are packed into a flower shape with professional methods, which are both practical and special.
