First ever digital vegetable market opened in Mardan, Pakistan

The first ever digital vegetable market has been opened in Mardan: here, the customers can buy vegetables and fruits with a single phone call while sitting at their homes.

The digital vegetable market was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Mardan Muhammad Abid Khan at Durshal Centre. The deputy commissioner stated that the market is a public-private venture where food items will be available according to official price list. He said the step has been taken to reduce overcrowding in other fruit and vegetable markets and bazaars in the district and to control inflation.

The home delivery service will be carried out by a private organisation 'Delivery Kaka'. Abbas Paracha, an official of Delivery Kaka mobile application and in-charge of digital vegetable market, said the service has been initiated in four union councils of Mardan in first phase which include Mohabatabad, Muslimabad, Baghdada and Bagh Aram. He said the service will be extended to all the union councils of Mardan soon.
