Shatang mandarins from Xilin are to become available on November 20. Two days prior to this date, pre-order prices rose again, from 4.8 to 5.3 yuan/half a kilo. Meanwhile, small volumes from other earlier areas have become available. Purchase prices in Taiping, Wuming ranged from 3.2-4.5 yuan/half a kilo on November 18, but only those with full color could fetch 4 yuan. The taste of fruit partially green is average, and they haven’t attracted many purchasers.
The market of bayue mandarins is stable, but this year's shipments are slightly slower, as the fruit is ripening slower due to drought. In previous years, 60-70% of bayue mandarins would have been shipped before satang mandarins became available, while it’ s only around 50% this year. High-quality fruit with constant sizes, good coloring, and clear skin attract customers even at a high price of 3 yuan/half a kg, while the sale of average-quality ones is slower.
