Recently, prices in certain banana production areas have experienced fluctuations, especially in Guangxi. Due to high prices at an earlier period, the costs of orders are high. Therefore, even though the Mid-Autumn Festival is around the corner, some traders are still on the fence, resulting in a decline in the volume of orders. Prices in the production areas have been lowered to improve market balance. Other production areas such as Hainan, Yunnan, and Zhanjiang in Guangdong have also experienced slight drops in prices. However, there is still room for growth in the Pearl River Delta area which saw lower prices in the earlier period as the sales volume ramps up with the approach of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
