AgriTech start-up Pure Harvest looks to raise $10 million to expand internationally

The fruits and vegetable aisle of your local supermarket is generally filled with fruits from all different countries in the world; from Europe to Asia and from Australia to Africa.

Pure Harvest Smart Farms, an Abu Dhabi-based start-up that has recently received a $1.5 million grant by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF), aims to be part of the solution to the region’s growing food security, water conservation, and sustainability challenges by growing the food locally. The start-up developed the greenhouse in partnership with Certhon Greenhouse Solutions, a Dutch designer and builder of modern greenhouses.

Sme10x.com reports that Pure Harvest has announced the first successful harvest of their first crops, and is already looking to raise over $10 million in order to expand into the rest of the UAE, as well as internationally.
