Suning signed a strategic cooperation agreement for direct purchase with local authorities in Pujiang, one of China's larger fruit production areas. Top-quality fruit from Pujiang, such as Baba tangerines and kiwi fruit, will now be sold through Suning easy-purchase online and offline platforms and delivered directly from the production area to consumers. The agreement includes regional specialty products such as Baba tangerines, kiwi fruit, and 'sparrow tongue' tea leaves from plantations that altogether cover a surface area of 6,667 hectares.
Suning constructed a cold-storage warehouse for nationwide distribution last year. Up to date Suning has constructed 45 cold-storage warehouses for distribution covering 173 cities, including Nanjing, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai, where consumers can order fresh produce and have it delivered in half a day. Suning has greatly improved the convenience of fresh produce shopping in large cities.
