China: Orah tangerine shipments increased, prices for quality fruit rose slightly

As the oranges in each producing area neared the end, fruit merchants began to purchase other citrus fruits such as orah tangerines and ma shui tangerines. The market share for these two increased. Recently, the price of quality fruit has risen slightly. The price of the orah tangerine from most producing areas is around 3 yuan/jin, and the Wuming high quality fruit has risen to more than 4 yuan/jin.

The last batches of sugar oranges are stable in shipment, and the price does not fluctuate significantly. However, some orchards have higher asking prices and slower shipments. The price of Mashui tangerines is relatively stable, and the fruit has risen slightly by one or two cents. However, because the sales of sugar oranges have not completely ended, we are likely to see large quantities shipped in early March.
