Shenyang airport welcomes first shipment of imported fruit

China Southern Airlines flight CZ8358 landed on Shenyang Taoxian International Airport on February 3rd, 2019, with the first shipment of imported fruit to enter through the designated imported fruit port at Shenyang Airport.

The shipment contained 1.5 tons of tree-ripe 5A mangosteen from Thailand. They were all harvested on the same day in the orchard in Thailand and transported directly to China on a 6-hour flight to Shenyang. This allowed not only the people of Shenyang to enjoy fresh fruit from Thailand for Chinese Spring Festival [February 5th, 2019], but there was enough time for the shipment to be distributed by air freight to other places in China as well. The people of neighboring cities in northwest China were able to enjoy fresh tropical fruit during the holiday.
