Bumper cabbage crop in Taiwan - first shipment arrives in Hong Kong

Taiwanese cabbage enjoyed an abundant harvest in the fourth quarter this year. The first shipment arrived in Hong Kong and is already on offer in supermarkets and convenience stores. The Agricultural Committee organized "Special Overseas Promotional Activities" because the harvest of Taiwanese cabbage was so abundant. The Hong Kong Association of Foreign Trade supported this plan, as did the Hong Kong Taibei Trade Center, and together they facilitated the first shipment of Taiwanese cabbage weighing 10.8 tons.

Taiwanese cabbage

This harvest of Taiwanese cabbage was planted in early autumn. It is sold in high-end supermarkets and department stores, as well as via specialized importers. Data shows that the 3 main export markets of fresh and refrigerated vegetables from Taiwan are Japan, Hong Kong, and the USA. The export of vegetables to Hong Kong reached a value of 3.28 million USD last year. The main product varieties were radish and green soy beans.
