"Customers busy with their Christmas shopping"

Consumers love exotic fruit

“At the moment there is a high demand for exotic fruit,” states a German wholesale trader, “Especially mangos are loved now. But our customers also ask for avocados.” And the shoppers favor other exotic fruit, such as papaya, kaki (persimmons) and passion fruit too.

“Especially now so short before the Christmas holidays there is some pressure. Many customers are busy with their Christmas shopping. After Christmas the pressure dies down a bit,” according to the trader. But compared to the previous years nothing much has changed continues the fruit wholesaler. “The demand always rises at the end of the year, and with the rise of the demand the prices increase too.”
