Portugal: Increased pear volumes and record-breaking apple production

The prospects published by Portugal's National Statistics Institute (INE) on 30 September point to an increase in pear production volumes of around 75%, recovering the losses incurred during the problematic 2012 campaign.

A significant increase, of approximately 25%, was also registered in apple production volumes, which presumably will lead to the best results in the past five years.
