Onions in Cameroon more expensive than one Euro/kg

In Cameroon onions are difficult to obtain. For about three months the market has experienced increasing prices. Part of the onions are imported from the Netherlands. More than 28 Euro per 25 kg is paid. In addition import duty is also payable. It is expected that the price will increase further, because a large part of the harvest from the most important production area was destroyed by rain.
