Canary potato recognized by the EU

The European Commission has decided to add the Canary potato to the list of European quality products with a protected origin, under the name 'papas antiguas de Canarias'. The name 'papas antiguas de Canarias' will be added to a list of over 1,000 European agricultural quality product which meet the demand of the European Union. The Canary potato is the first agricultural product from the Canary Islands to be added to this list.
