Chile: Cranberry production expected to rise in 2016

According to data by general manager of IQonsulting, Isabel Quiroz, and the Comité de Arándanos de Chile, the Chilean production of cranberries is likely to grow with over 100,000 tons in 2016. The statistics were gathered during a research project collecting crop information from all over the country.

Preliminary results from the project show that acreage devoted to agriculture has increased this year with 17%. By 2016, the berry cultivation is expected to reach a range of 13.590 hectare.
