Germany: More Düsseldorf growers selling door-to-door

Vegetables stemming from the local region are gaining popularity. It's fresh and environment-friendly. In the German town of Düsseldorf there are a lot of growers not selling produce in their stores, but door-to-door. This season, pumpkins, apples, cabbage and carrots are most popular. 

A selection of fresh produce in the Düsseldorf region: 

  • Apfelparadies Wittlaer in Düsseldorf: sells apples, pears, cherries, grapes and berries from their own crop. 
  • Bauerngarten-Benninghoven in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim: sells seasonal fruit and vegetables, flowers, beef and cheese.
  • Hofladen Südpark in Düsseldorf-Wersten: The assortment includes bread, vegetables, honey, potatoes and fruit.
  • Hofladen Weitz in Düsseldorf: own assortment of fresh produce, poultry, eggs, oils, spices and dairy.
  • Gut Katers in Mettmann: the assortment consists of homemade sausage, delicacies and potatoes.
  • Hofladen der LVR-Klinik Langenfeld: has fresh produce, potatoes and organic tea.
