The KVH Board has completed a series of visits in the Waikato region, meeting with growers and industry partners to focus on biosecurity awareness and collaboration.
The Board visited Whitehall Fruitpackers, Richard and Matt Glenn, Karn and Briar Dhaliwal, and Hill Labs. The visits offered perspectives from different parts of the kiwifruit industry and allowed the Board to review its current engagement strategies and consider areas for improvement.

A key observation from the visits was the broad representation of growers with varied backgrounds and interests, highlighting opportunities to improve awareness across the region. The visit to Hill Labs included a tour and discussions on the role of science and diagnostics in biosecurity preparedness. The KVH Board stated that these visits reaffirm its approach of working closely with growers and stakeholders to safeguard the kiwifruit industry against biosecurity risks.
