MSC has announced the launch of its enhanced standalone service, the USA–West Africa–South Africa Express (USWASA Express), starting on 1 October 2025.
In addition to serving South Africa, as first announced in May, the USWASA Express will provide a direct connection between the United States, West Africa, and South Africa, with new direct port calls in Lome and San-Pedro.

The service rotation will be:
New York – Baltimore – Savannah – Freeport – Lome – Durban – Coega – Cape Town – San-Pedro – New York.
A seasonal call in Philadelphia will also be included.
