Uzbekistan and Kuwait explore fruit and dried fruit export opportunities

An online meeting was recently held between Nael Nasir, founder of Nassar Trading Agro in Uzbekistan's Samarkand region, and Mohammad Reza, CEO of Kuwait-based Sky Logistics Gen. Trading & Contracting Co., according to the Dunyo news agency.

Discussions focused on developing exports of fresh fruit, dried fruit, and fruit chips from Uzbekistan to Kuwait and Iraq. The parties also exchanged views on packaging standards for export products and addressed transport and logistics arrangements.

Additional topics included the potential creation of showrooms and trade houses in Kuwait and Iraq to showcase Uzbek products to buyers and distributors.

Uzbekistan has been implementing measures to support exporters, offering incentives and simplified procedures for foreign importers. These efforts aim to expand the country's access to new markets in the Middle East.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to send product samples to Kuwait and to hold a follow-up online session to finalise pricing and commercial terms.
