T&G Global has reported a return to profitability for the six months ending 30 June 2025, with revenue rising to $920.6 million from $820.1 million a year earlier. Operating profit reached $18.1 million, reversing a $2.6 million loss, while net profit before tax was $2.3 million compared to a loss of $8.2 million. Net profit after tax stood at $1.7 million, against a loss of $18.6 million in 2024.
Chair Benedikt Mangold said the result reflects the benefits of T&G's long-term growth and investment strategy, alongside strong execution and a focus on productivity, efficiencies, and cost control. Chief Executive Officer Gareth Edgecombe added that global demand for T&G's premium apple brands continues to grow, supported by strengthened customer and grower relationships and an optimised value chain.

The apple division delivered revenue of $675.3 million, up 15 percent from $589.0 million in the first half of 2024, with operating profit rising 99 percent to $47.2 million. Edgecombe said this reflects significant investment in the company's apple strategy, supported by a high-quality crop in North America and Aotearoa, New Zealand. Record-branded apple volumes were achieved, driven by extensive plantings of ENVY apples. Growth in Asia was supported by strong retail programmes and the opening of a Taiwan office, while in North America, ENVY apples outperformed the overall apple category despite challenging conditions.
T&G Fresh increased revenue to $229.2 million from $218.3 million, with operating profit improving to $3.7 million from a loss of $11.3 million last year. Edgecombe attributed this to ongoing transformation, productivity improvements, efficiencies, and cost control, with growth from stone fruit and berries as well as strong performance in Fijian, Pacific Islands, and domestic markets.
VentureFruit's revenue fell to $2.9 million from $4.0 million due to changes in invoicing timing, and its operating loss widened to $7.2 million from $3.4 million. The commercialisation of the new premium JOLI apple brand continues ahead of its planned 2027 consumer launch, with 380,000 trees licensed in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and test blocks established in Europe.
Edgecombe said T&G is well-positioned to build on current momentum in the second half of the year, supported by a structured growth strategy, solid foundations, and a capable team, expressing confidence in continued improvement in financial performance.
