Bedford recently introduced a new ElastiTag® size to meet the produce industry's need for more U.S.-manufactured packaging solutions. The new tag is available worldwide.
The new size, which more closely matches the tag size, functionality, and price point of a Rubber Band Tag, is ideal for tagging smaller bunches, such as green onions, cilantro, radishes, parsley, dill, and other herb bunches.
The product is FDA-approved for direct food contact, accurately scans at checkout, and offers reliable, quality print.

"Things can change quickly in the fresh produce industry, and growers can't afford to be left waiting for crucial packaging when their crop is ready," said Belinda Heidebrink, marketing group manager. "Growers need a reliable supplier who understands the time crunch they're often in and can produce their orders rapidly. That's why we offer a quick lead time, which also applies to our new tag size."
The new ElastiTag is eligible for the company's TagBack® program, which reclaims produce identification solutions it manufactures to be sorted, separated, and upcycled into PolyScape® recycled plastic lumber. To date, the program has collected more than 226,000 pounds of returns.
