An important meeting between program teams and local leaders took place in late February at Embrapa's Temperate Climate Fruit Growing Experimental Station in Vacaria.
Semear Digital aims to encompass up to 14 thousand small to medium rural properties across ten municipalities in Brazil's five regions. Vacaria, with a population of approximately 64 thousand, stands as the country's premier apple producer, hosting over a thousand agricultural establishments, primarily in fruit cultivation. The region benefits from cable internet access, extending to remote areas like the Nova Estrela settlement, nearly 80 km from the city center.
