Bill Boutros with Mucci Farms:

“We place a very high emphasis on expanding our network of grower partners”

Partnerships are of key importance in the produce industry. "It starts with our grower partners," says Bill Boutros, Director of Global Supply with Mucci Farms. "We work in partnership with dozens of talented growers across the continent who enable us to maximize local and regionally grown fruits and vegetables." In addition to the company's greenhouses in Kingsville, ON, Canada, and Huron, Ohio, their strategic investments in California and British Columbia have helped expand the customer base on the West Coast. "Along with our significant Canadian footprint, we offer a wide assortment of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, strawberries, lettuce, and specialty items from coast to coast, servicing major retailers across the continent."

"Growing a wide variety of products allows us to service our retail partners efficiently while creating a one-stop-shop relationship," Bill added. "Our vertical integration puts us in a position to not only grow an ever-expanding list of items, but it also enables us to support retail, wholesale, and food service at scale, from seed to table." This contributes to the company's mission to be North America's preferred supplier of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Retailer partnerships
With growing demand for fresh produce and a troubling number of food deserts, it is the company's goal to continue strategic expansion across the continent to increase access to healthy fruits and vegetables. "As a result, we are laser-focused on expansion to accommodate demand."

To build that capacity, Mucci's grower partners lean on the company's ability to build strong relationships with retailers. "This is something we place a very high emphasis on," commented Bill. "As we continue to deliver for our retail partners, they grant us more opportunities to supply more regions, and this growth is something that our growers take note of. They trust that we will market their product well and help them maximize return year over year through stable partnerships."

Greentech
To engage with the industry, Mucci Farms will be exhibiting at GreenTech Americas 2024 in Queretaro, Mexico, from March 12-14. "This particular show is very grower-centric and gives us an opportunity to expand our network in a meaningful way by engaging with a wide pool of Latin American growers," Bill shared. "We want to take this opportunity to share our values as an organization and find grower partners who align with us and want to work together to expand our distribution across the continent."

"We are big fans of GreenTech and really enjoy soaking in Mexican culture that's full of great food, great music, and a very festive atmosphere," Bill continued. "We absolutely love the show and are not surprised with its growth into a can't miss event on the trade show schedule." Visit the Mucci Farms team at Booth 2120.
