New plant and advanced technologies

"The geopolitical and economic situation in the world is not the best, but it is still necessary to invest in order to keep up with the times". Roberto and Maurizio Graziani of Graziani Packaging recently inaugurated the new 4.0 line for the production of pressed cardboard corner protectors. Michela and Alessandra (Roberto's daughters) and Andrea (Maurizio's son) are now also part of the company, ensuring the continuity of the family business.

"The aim of the new plant," explain the Graziani brothers, "is to increase the efficiency of the production cycle, the mechanical performance of the edge protectors and, at the same time, the saving of raw materials and energy, in the name of sustainability. Thanks to better performance, much higher than previous technologies, we can aim for development beyond the 40 countries where our products are already present".

Graziani Packaging has already made significant investments in the past year and will continue to do so in 2024. These investments range from energy autonomy through photovoltaics to a new IT system, an internal air conditioning system and a new system for shredding and compacting paper waste.

"As Roberto Graziani points out, "This will allow for a direct exchange with the paper mills, drastically reducing the number of transports compared to today. "Also worthy of mention are the inauguration of a new distribution platform in Apulia for southern Italy on the Adriatic coast, and the start of construction of a new 3,500-square-meter logistics warehouse next to the current headquarters. And of course, with various initiatives and projects, there is also a focus on the company's welfare for its employees."

In the last few days the company was visited by Enzo Lattuca, president of the province of Forlì-Cesena and Monica Rossi, mayor of Mercato Saraceno (the area where the company is located). Following the floods of May 2023, which caused hundreds of landslides throughout the territory, a donation was made to the municipality to meet the great needs.

"Graziani concludes: "We will be at Fruit Logistica in Hall 4.2, stand D20. A large part of our staff will be present, including Manuele Bettin, who has recently taken on the role of sales area manager for northern Italy, a new position in our team."
