The very first harvest was sold at a symbolic 37.5 USD per kg price for good luck and now the price for the early harvested products are set at 7.5 USD per kg at the retailers. The growers added that cherry is a big contributor to the local economy and one of the main products from the area. They have also added that in a few weeks, the cherry season will start at full speed and the products will be sold at around 2 – 2.5 USD per kg.
