The transport systems from Promatec are applied in a number of food industries, including the fresh produce sector. This week, a lift system will be delivered to vegetable processor W. Heemskerk from Rijnsburg, the Netherlands, which will be installed in a new, high-care part of the factory. “The lift system is still in our assembly hall now, it will be transported early this week, and it will be installed by the end of the week,” says Jeroen van Herk.
According to Jeroen, the system is distinctive because of its hygienic design and use of material. For example, the entire line in their own workshop has been completely done in RVS. “Of course, we also have standard systems, but within our engineering department we translate every request into an adequate design, and we can also offer custom-made solutions. That characterises our approach.”
“Product handling systems are our core activity, but additionally, we do a lot of product development. Examples of this are the corner bands, but also the spiral conveyors that vertically transport products up or down with a load of up to 50 kg/m. The system is characterised by a complete RVS construction, and can be cleaned wet, if necessary. The transport system is provided with a patented heavy duty transport chain,” Jeroen says.
