UC Davis recognizes HM.Clause as partner in innovation

HM.CLAUSE is pleased to announce that it was selected by the UC Davis Office of Research as this year’s recipient of the Innovative Community Partner award. The award is given annually to a leader or organization in the community that has contributed significantly to regional growth and entrepreneurship in collaboration with UC Davis.

In 2015, HM.CLAUSE donated over 3,000 square feet of wet lab facilities on its research campus to house the UC Davis –HM.CLAUSE Life Science Innovation Center, a business incubator that helps startup ventures access the specific and costly capital they need in order to thrive. The facility, which offers chemistry, biochemistry and molecular biology lab space, is the first of its kind in the region and currently houses seven startup companies.

Accepting the award on behalf of HM.CLAUSE was Mark Stowers, Vice President and Head of Global Research & Development, who worked closely with Associate Vice Chancellor, Dushyant Pathak, to establish the Center. At the podium, Stowers acknowledged Pathak as his partner in innovation and thanked him for sharing the philosophy that collaboration is the tide that raises all ships. Stowers also thanked HM.CLAUSE leadership for sharing the vision for the Innovation Center and driving the concept.
