Shandong Province ranks No.1 for its cold storage volume

Shandong agricultural export volume ranks first in China, and its output to other provinces has remained at more than 60% for many years. Moreover, it is the major supplier of vegetables for big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.

At present, there are 650 cold storages in Shangdong province, which has a cold storage capacity of over 5.8 million tons, ranking No.1 in China. Next to this, its extreme cold storage capacity can reach over 60,000 tons, accounting for more than 75% of the country. It has about 5,800 refrigerated and insulation vehicles, accounting for 0.3% of Shangdong's total freight car transport. According to statistics, the cold chain circulation rates for Shandong fruit and vegetable products, meat and aquatic products are 24%, 19% and 40% respectively, and its cold chain circulation rates of agricultural product exports reach 100%.
