Assets of Russian retailer Magnit exceed 18.4 billion Euro

On 28 October, the value of assets of the well-known retail chain Magnit exceeded a trillion roubles (18.4 billion Euro), - has posted in his blog the CEO of OJSC Magnit Sergey Galitsky.

According to the Moscow Stock Exchange, within 24 hours the shares of Sergey Galitsky have increased by 4%, which virtually equals 1.5 billion roubles (28 million Euro). Meanwhile, the current cost of Magnit is over a trillion roubles (18.4 billion Euro). Nevertheless, the company ranks fifth in the database of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX).

The retail chain Magnit currently comprises 7891 convenience stores, 175 hypermarkets, 68 Magnit Family stores and 886 cosmetics shops in 2019 towns (as of 30 September, 2014). Besides, in terms of capitalisation, the company is the largest retailer in the world.
