About Our Client
Our client is a Soft Fruit grower who are developing a new product in the soft fruit sector. They’re looking for a successful manager to take responsibility for the construction and running of a soft fruit table top system within poly-tunnels. This role requires someone who is looking for a new challenge and a step up the management ladder in soft fruit.
About the Role
The first few months of the role will be supervision & construction of the first of a multi-phased project, once this is complete you will supervise and run the whole, brand new unit. You will have responsibility for all aspects of crop husbandry from plant ordering to fruit production. You need to have experience with managing people, day to day record keeping on yield performance, cost accounting for major costs and budget reporting.
The ideal candidate
You would ideally have a horticultural qualification. Experience in running substrate grown systems is essential. You would have been a Grower Manager within Soft Fruit and want to progress within your career. Being fluent in Spanish is not required however it would be a benefit for this position.
