Nature's Produce, a Polish importer and distributor of fresh fruit and vegetables, has begun construction of a new Central Distribution and Ripening Center (CDRC) in Ostrowiec, approximately 40 kilometres south of Warsaw.
The facility will integrate sustainable technologies such as heat and rainwater recovery systems, photovoltaic installations, and a green roof. Operations are scheduled to begin in September 2026. The complex will cover about 8,000 square metres on a three-hectare plot, with the possibility of expanding to 16,000 square metres in the future.

The CDRC will include 16 ripening rooms with space for an additional 10 chambers. The site will focus on improving the quality and shelf life of "ready to eat" avocados, mangoes, and other tropical fruits, categories in which Nature's Produce holds a strong position in the Polish market.
The investment aims to enhance the company's operational efficiency and align ripening processes with local market preferences. It is also expected to support a broader range of imported produce through Dole's global supply network and distribution capabilities.
According to the company, the facility will create a platform for expanding its product portfolio and for further developing the Dole brand in Poland, including its "Ready to eat" and "Ready for exotics" ranges currently available across multiple retail chains.
The project reflects ongoing investment in the avocado and exotics segment and is intended to strengthen the company's long-term operations within the Polish fresh produce market.
