Uzbekistan increased persimmon exports by 1.4 times in 2024

Uzbekistan's persimmon exports grew by 1.4 times in 2024 compared to the previous year, reaching 85,700 tons. In 2023, the country exported around 60,000 tons of persimmons.

According to official statistics, Uzbekistan exported 85,763 tons of persimmons, worth $57 million between January and December 2024.

Russia was the largest importer, purchasing 64,344 tons (75% of Uzbekistan's total persimmon exports). Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan followed with 15,300 tons and 3,300 tons, respectively.

Overall, Russia remained the top market for Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable exports in 2024, accounting for $632.9 million (a 1.4-fold increase), which made up 42.1% of the country's total fruit and vegetable exports.
