Azerbaijan's agricultural exports: decline in persimmons, growth in tomatoes and apples

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported persimmons worth $113.7 million, according to the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. This figure is $13.5 million (10.6%) lower compared to the same period in 2023 when the country exported persimmons worth $127.2 million.

In December alone, persimmon exports amounted to $27.1 million, which is $8.7 million (24.3%) less than in December of the previous year.

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported tomatoes worth $175.4 million, which is $13.4 million (8.3%) more than the $162 million exported in 2023.

Apple exports in 2024 reached $61.9 million, marking an increase of $4.7 million (8.2%) compared to $57.2 million in 2023. In December alone, apple exports totaled $8.7 million, $1.6 million (22.5%) more than the previous year.
