Georgia’s apple exports surge sixfold, driven by Russian demand

Between August and mid-January, Georgia exported 9,100 tons of apples, generating $5.8 million, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture. The export volume increased by 7,600 tons, and the value rose by $4.8 million, a six-fold increase over the previous year.

The Ministry highlighted that Russia was the largest importer, receiving 9,026 tons. Kazakhstan imported 60 tons, Turkey 21 tons, and Armenia two tons.
