Apple prices have exhibited varying trends across Poland, Italy, France, and Germany when comparing the current 2024/25 season (red line) to the previous 2023/24 season (green line). In Poland, apple prices began higher this season, with August prices at €69/100 kg compared to €57/100 kg the previous year. This trend persisted through the early months, with November prices also showing a notable rise from €57/100 kg last season to €69/100 kg this season.
In Italy, apple prices have largely followed a consistent pattern compared to last year but have remained slightly lower during most months. August prices were €92/100 kg this year, below the €101/100 kg recorded last season. The gap closed by October, with prices at €996/100 kg this year compared to €96/100 kg last year as well. By December, prices aligned closely at €98/100 kg for the current season and €96/100 kg for the previous one.
France's apple prices have been notably higher this year compared to the 2023/24 season. August prices rose to €142/100 kg from €131/100 kg last year, maintaining a significant lead into September and October, where prices reached €144/100 kg compared to €144/100 kg in September and €143/100 kg versus €141/100 kg in October. However, the gap narrowed in November and December, with current prices at €134/100 kg, just slightly lower than last year's €138/100 kg.
In Germany, apple prices this season have shown a slight decline compared to the 2023/24 season. August prices were €86/100 kg this year, up from €76/100 kg last year. This decline persisted into October and November, where prices climbed to €77/100 kg last season compared to €81/100 kg this year.
