Chilean fruit exports have a volume decrease of 6% compared to 2022

According to the fruit report from the Chilean Office of Agrarian Studies and Policies (ODEPA) this September, in the January-August 2023 period, there are total fruit exports of 2.54 mln tons, for a value of US$ 5,973 million FOB. In relation to the same period in 2022, There was a decrease in exported volume of 6% and an increase of 8.8% in value.

Of this total amount, 73.8% corresponds to fresh fruit, 7.9% to processed fruit (juice, oil, preserves, frozen, dehydrated) and 8.2% to dried fruit (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.).

Fresh fruit reached sales of 2 million tons, equivalent to US$ 4,41 million FOB for the analysis period. These exports registered a decrease in volume of 7.7% and in value an increase of 10.3% compared to the same period last year.
