"This year's nectarines in Shanxi and Shaanxi have a bumper harvest 
and are of good quality. Both the smoothness of the skin and the sweetness of the taste are ideal. However, due to the high price and weak purchasing power in the market, many buyers are on the sidelines, so the harvest period is about a week later than before.
"At present, the purchase price of greenhouse nectarines is about ￥12/kg, which is about 25% lower than in the same period last year. However, it is estimated that the market acceptance is not high, and it is likely to decline in the future. "According to Sun's understanding, due to weak market consumption, the prices of many fruits have the situation of opening high and then declining this year.
"Excess production is a challenge for Shanxi and Shaanxi nectarine markets. A few years ago, nectarine growers were very enthusiastic about planting. With the problems of overproduction and low market consumption in recent years, the price and sales volume are not satisfactory, which has dampened the enthusiasm of growers, and the local planting area has not increased. Shanxi and Shaanxi nectarines have their own advantages. Their production seasons are staggered from those imported from Chile, and their taste and quality are better than those of imported ones." Shanxi and Shaanxi nectarines can be planted in greenhouses or outdoors, and the sales season is usually from early May to early August.
Local nectarines are exported to Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia by sea. "The market situation this year is that the domestic market is weak and foreign demand is decreasing, which brings many challenges to sales. We plan to open up more new markets for domestic sales, and strive to sell all the nectarines produced by our cooperative."
