Fruit vegetable exports to Germany and the UK on the rise

Dutch exports of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and aubergines have increased sales in Germany and the UK this year. This is according to information from GroentenFruit Huis based on export figures (volume) for the period from January to September 2025.

Two-thirds of the total exports of Dutch fruit vegetables are destined for neighbouring Germany and the UK. German consumers purchased 6 per cent more fruit vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, aubergines) from the Netherlands this year through September compared to last year. In the UK, the increase was as high as 15 per cent, market analyst Wilco van den Berg reports.
